Our Statement of Faith

"Standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel" - Philippians 1:27

The Authority of Scripture

We affirm the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments (in its original language, context, and authorship), as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for faith and practice, offering wisdom and direction for every area of life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This triune God is sovereign, holy, and worthy of all worship and praise.

Matthew 28:19

Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but granted through Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.

Ephesians 2:8-9

The Lordship Of Jesus Christ

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again. He is the head of the Church and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

Colossians 1:15-20

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the active presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, and empowers us for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the fulfilment of God's mission.

John 14:16-17

Water Baptism

Water baptism is a symbolic act that signifies a believer's cleansing from sin and new life in Christ. It is an outward demonstration of an inward transformation and a public declaration of faith in Jesus. By being baptized, a person shows their commitment to follow Jesus and aligns themselves with His teachings, as well as becomes part of the broader Christian community. Through this act, believers testify to their new life and unity with Christ..

Matthew 28:19

Holy Spirit Baptism

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which occurs at the moment of conversion, uniting believers into the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13). This baptism marks our adoption as children of God, sealing us with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1:13-14).

1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:13-14

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, given to build up the Church and fulfill its mission. These gifts are diverse and essential for the health and growth of the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Sanctification

Salvation is a transformative journey of sanctification, where believers are progressively made holy through the Holy Spirit's work. Once received, salvation is secure, sustained by God's grace and power.

1 Thessalonians 5:23; Philippians 1:6; John 10:28-29

The Great Commission

We are dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching Christ's commands. Our mission is to be Christ's ambassadors, reflecting His love and truth in our communities and beyond.

Matthew 28:18-20

The Church

We affirm the Church as Christ's Body, called to worship, disciple, and share the Gospel with the world. We value the unity of believers and the importance of fellowship, prayer, and the sacraments.

Ephesians 4:4-6

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, bringing the ultimate fulfilment of His kingdom. We live in anticipation of this blessed hope, striving to be faithful stewards of the Gospel.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Heaven and Hell

We believe in the reality of heaven and hell. Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of the righteous in the presence of God, while hell is the eternal separation from God for those who reject His salvation.

Matthew 25:46, John 14:2-3

Biblical Marriage

We believe in the sanctity of biblical marriage, defined as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God for companionship, mutual support, and the raising of children.

Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6

The Office of Prophet and Apostle

The foundational roles of prophet and apostle in the early Church were to lay the foundation of the Christian faith. These roles are now considered fulfilled. However, the gifts of prophecy and apostleship continue through the Holy Spirit to edify and guide the Church.

Ephesians 2:19-20; 1 Corinthians 12:28

Offering under Grace

We believe that believers should give as they have decided within their hearts, not under compulsion of the law, but as an expression of grace and gratitude.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Penal Substitutionary Atonement

We believe in the penal substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, meaning that He bore the penalty for our sins in our place. On the cross, Christ, the sinless Son of God, suffered the wrath of God that we deserved, fully satisfying divine justice. Through His death and resurrection, He secured the forgiveness, righteousness, and reconciliation of all who trust in Him alone for salvation

Isaiah 53

Justification

We believe that justification is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. God declares sinners righteous solely on the basis of Christ’s perfect obedience and atoning sacrifice, not by any works of our own. This righteousness is imputed to believers, securing their full acceptance before God and granting them peace with Him.

Romans 3:28

Glorification

We believe that glorification is the final stage of salvation, in which believers will be fully conformed to the image of Christ. At His return, the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable, and the living will be transformed, receiving glorified bodies free from sin and death. This eternal state of holiness and communion with God is the fulfillment of His redemptive plan.

Romans 8:30

Repentance

We believe that repentance, a change of mind that turns from sin to God, is the beginning of the salvation process. True repentance is a work of the Holy Spirit, convicting sinners of their sin and leading them to faith in Christ. It is not merely sorrow for sin but a decisive turning to God, resulting in a transformed life. Repentance and faith are inseparable, both being gifts of God's grace in salvation.

Luke 24:47; Acts 20:21

Salvation through the gospel

We believe that salvation comes only through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to all who believe, proclaiming Christ’s death for our sins, His burial, and His resurrection on the third day. No one can be saved apart from hearing and believing this message, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 4:12

Eternal Security

We believe in the eternal security of all true believers in Christ. Those whom God has saved by His grace are kept by His power and can never lose their salvation. Christ’s perfect atonement, His intercession, and the sealing of the Holy Spirit guarantee that no one can snatch believers from God’s hand. True salvation will be evidenced by perseverance in faith and holiness

John 10:28-29; Philippians 1:6

Fire baptism

We believe that those who reject Christ will face the baptism of fire, which represents God’s righteous judgment. Unlike the baptism of the Holy Spirit given to believers, this baptism signifies eternal punishment, where the unrepentant will suffer God's wrath. On the last day, all who refuse the gospel will be cast into the lake of fire, experiencing everlasting separation from God

Matthew 3:11-12; Revelation 20:15

Sin Nature

We believe that all humans are born with a sinful nature, inherited from Adam, which separates us from God and leads to death. This sinful nature causes all to sin and fall short of the glory of God, making every person in need of redemption. Only through the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit and faith in Jesus Christ can one be freed from the power of sin and restored to fellowship with God

Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3

Priesthood of all believers

We believe in the priesthood of all believers, meaning that every Christian has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and is called to serve Him. Believers are not dependent on any human mediator but can approach God in prayer, worship, and service. Every Christian is also entrusted with the responsibility to share the gospel, live out their faith, and represent Christ in the world

1 Peter 2:9; Hebrews 4:14-16

The Resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day, affirming His victory over sin and death. We also believe in the future resurrection of the dead, both the just and the unjust, to eternal life or eternal separation from God

1 Corinthians 15:20-22; Revelation 20:12-15

Soli Deo Gloria

We believe in Soli Deo Gloria, which means "Glory to God alone." This doctrine affirms that all things exist for the glory of God, and all human life, salvation, and service should ultimately point to Him. God is the sole recipient of all glory, and we, as His creation, are called to reflect His glory in all that we do. Our salvation is entirely His work, and our lives are meant to display His greatness and majesty

Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 10:31

Creation

We believe that God is the Creator of all things, having made the heavens, the earth, and all life according to His sovereign will and wisdom. We affirm a literal, historical creation as described in Genesis, where God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. Humanity was uniquely made in God's image, distinct from animals, with a special purpose to glorify Him. We reject macroevolution, the idea that all life evolved from a common ancestor through natural processes, as it contradicts the biblical account of creation and the direct involvement of God in forming life

Genesis 1:1-31; Exodus 20:11; Colossians 1:16

Deliverance

We believe that true believers in Jesus Christ, who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, cannot be possessed by demons. The Holy Spirit seals and protects every believer, making demonic possession impossible. While Christians may experience spiritual attacks, oppression, or temptation, they have been delivered from the power of darkness and belong to Christ. Through the authority of Jesus and the power of His Word, believers can resist the devil and walk in victory over spiritual forces

1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Colossians 1:13; 1 John 4:4

No Progressive Revelation

We believe that God has fully revealed His truth in the Scriptures, which are complete, sufficient, and final. We reject the idea of progressive revelation that claims new doctrinal truths beyond the Bible. God has spoken through His Word, and no additional revelations, prophecies, or writings can supersede or add to it
